JOB DESCRIPTIONS:
Our client is urgently looking for the qualified Millwright to start working ASAP. VKB Group requires the services of reputable Millwright. You may apply before deadline in case you are interested and have required qualifications as short-listed below.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
The applicant wishing to apply for this job must meet the following qualifications;
- Must have Grade 12 / NQF Level 4.
- Must have Valid Trade Certificate: Millwright
- Must have strong mechanical and electrical experience.
- Must have 3-6 Years relevant experience
- Must have Code B driver’s license.

- Must have strong problem-solving and fault-finding skills.
- Must have ability to work under pressure.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The successful candidate will have to implement the following duties but not limited to:
- To install, maintain, repair, and commission electrical, electronic, and mechanical equipment and systems at the plant, as well as work on electrical transmission and distribution equipment
- To reduce breakdowns and downtimes periods in the relevant business unit to limit unnecessary costs
- To perform preventative maintenance according to schedule, ensuring machinery operates optimally.
- To conduct fault-finding and problem-solving on electrical and mechanical equipment.
- To report breakdowns and machine failures to management; accurately complete job cards and daily log sheets.
- Continuously identify opportunities for improvement on equipment and installations.
- To liaise with internal departments to ensure quality of service and products.
- To mentor team members to follow standard processes and practices, ensuring efficiency and reduced downtime.
- To comply with VKB’s Occupational Health and Safety standards.
- To complete all compulsory training interventions.
