JOB DESCRIPTIONS:
Our client is urgently looking for the qualified Blockman to start working ASAP. Food Lover’s requires the services of reputable Blockman. You may apply before deadline in case you are interested and have required qualifications as short-listed below.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
The applicant wishing to apply for this job must meet the following qualifications;
- Must have Matric
- Must have experience as Blockman, Butcher.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:
The applicant must have the following skills and competences
- Must live within 25km from job
- Must have clear criminal record.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The successful candidate will have to implement the following duties but not limited to:
- To record quantity of meat received and issued to cooks or keep records of meat sales.
- To perform precise and cost-effective cutting of various meat species, employing advanced deboning and cutting methods to achieve maximum output.
- To process/manufacture a variety of processed meat products including sausages and minces
- To operate a bandsaw and other specialized butchery equipment with proficiency
- Controls and maintain cold chain principles and ideal temperatures for storing meat products
- To maintain and comply with relevant food safety and meat legislation
- To perform block tests to determine costs
- Production planning to maintain ideal stock levels of unprocessed stock and retail cuts.
