JOB DESCRIPTIONS:
We are urgently looking for the qualified Fertiliser Sales Agent to start working ASAP.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
The applicant wishing to apply for this job must meet the following qualifications;
- Must have Matric
- Must have relevant Tertiary qualification
- Must have 5 years’ experience in the fertilizer industry
- Must have BASOS certificate.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:
The applicant must have the following skills and competences
- Must have good negotiation skills
- Team player
- Good self-discipline
- Target and goal driver
- Computer literate
- Own transport.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The successful candidate will have to implement the following duties but not limited to:
- Developing a deep understanding of various fertiliser products, their compositions, benefits, and application methods
- Utilising fertiliser expertise to recommend suitable products and application strategies that align with the customer’s agricultural goals
- Coordinating fertiliser orders, ensuring accurate quantities and delivery schedules are met
- Providing pre-sales and post-sales technical assistance, addressing customer inquiries and concerns
- Maintaining positive business relationships to future sales
- Developing cost estimates and proposals for fertiliser programs tailored to customers’ crop needs and budgets
- Basic fertiliser programs (Wheat, Canola, Barley, Oats, Lupins, Luzern and Cover crops)
- Taking of soil and leaf samples
- Crop monitoring during the growing season.
