JOB DESCRIPTIONS:
We are urgently looking for the qualified Code 10 Driver to start working ASAP.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
The applicant wishing to apply for this job must meet the following qualifications;
- Must have Grade 12 / Matric
- Must have valid Code 10 Drivers Licence with PDP
- Must have minimum of 2-5 years’ experience as a Driver.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:
The applicant must have the following skills and competences
- Must have knowledge of South African road rules and regulations
- Finds solutions to potential issues as well as knowing when to escalate the problem
- and what level to escalate it to
- Addresses customers questions in a timely manner
- Recognises the need for procedures and follows relevant procedures
- Takes personal responsibility for the quality and timeliness of work and achieves
- results with little oversight
- Must have computer skills – Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The successful candidate will have to implement the following duties but not limited to:
- To ensure the right products get delivered to the right store/customer at the right time
- To use the shortest and most efficient route to the delivery store and back to the warehouse
- To offload the correct goods at the required location in such a manner as to prevent damages
- To ensure that after completion of delivery that all shipments and equipment left in the vehicle are secured by the supplied load securing mechanisms/systems and equipment to prevent damages
- To maintain effective and efficient relationships with internal and external customers to improve operating efficiencies
- To uphold professional behaviour when dealing with customers
- To report customer complaints, and requests, and give accurate feedback to management
- To ensure that the vehicle is never left unattended during the delivery process
- Responsible to keep the vehicle clean and washed
- To inspect vehicle for any defects and safe operational conditions before, during and after trips and report any concerns to the manager
- To report on all accidents and incidents involving drivers or company equipment.
